What Can a WhatsApp Assistant Do? 12 Things to Hand Over

Blog · 15 Oct 2026 · 8 min read
In short
  • A WhatsApp assistant is best at work that repeats, work that waits, and work you forget.
  • Here are 12 things to hand over, each with one line you can send. Seven for work, three for both, two for home.
  • Keep for yourself anything that needs your judgement in the moment.
  • You can build the habit in a week, one small thing a day.

What a WhatsApp assistant is good at

Most of your day does not need your brain. It needs your memory. Who is waiting for a reply? Which quote did nobody answer? Who promised to pay on Monday? What did I tell the supplier last week? This is the work a WhatsApp assistant takes over best.

It is good at three kinds of work: work that repeats (every Monday, every month), work that waits (a reply, a payment), and work you will forget (a promise made in a rush, a birthday).

In Tuffy.pro, you do this by writing to Tuffy in your own “Message yourself” chat. Linking is like WhatsApp Web: scan a QR code or type a code, and there is no new app. You can write or send a voice note, in English, Hindi or Hinglish. Tuffy answers in the language you write.

Work: seven things to hand over

1. Follow-ups on people who go quiet

The customer who said “will let you know” and was never heard from again. Tuffy finds who has not replied, and drafts the nudge. It goes only after your yes. A follow-up is the most common thing people hand over, and we wrote a full guide: how to never miss a follow-up on WhatsApp.

Ask: “Who has not replied to me this week?”

2. Replies you owe

Messages you read in a hurry and meant to answer later. Tuffy lists the people waiting for you, so nobody waits for days without you knowing.

Ask: “Who is waiting for a reply from me?”

3. Reminders, by text or by voice note

One time or repeating, and you can snooze. A reminder comes to your own chat, so it needs no approval.

Ask: “Remind me every Monday at 10 to send the stock report.”

Remind me every Monday at 10 to send the stock report to Farhan.
Tuffy
Done. Every Monday at 10:00 AM: send the stock report to Farhan.

4. Quotes waiting for an answer

You sent a quotation and then work took over. Tuffy keeps the ones nobody answered in your Waiting on others list.

Ask: “Which quotes have I sent that nobody has answered?”

5. Money someone owes you

A friendly reminder is awkward to write and easy to put off. Tuffy tracks who said they would pay, and drafts a polite message for you to approve.

Ask: “Who still owes me money, and how much?”

6. Group summaries

The dealers’ group, the team group, the society group. Ask for the decisions and the asks instead of scrolling. We wrote a full guide: how to catch up on long WhatsApp groups in one minute.

Ask: “Summarise the dealers’ group since yesterday. Only what needs me.”

7. Finding an old message

The address, the rate, the “yes, you can start”. Tuffy searches across all your chats, so you do not need to remember which chat it was in.

Ask: “What did Arjun say about the quote?”

Both work and home: three things

8. A morning brief

Every day Tuffy sends one short message: what needs you today, what you are waiting on, and what is coming. It is on by default and you can switch it off with one word. Other daily or weekly summaries can be switched on too.

Ask: “Send me a summary every Friday evening of what is still open.”

9. Routines, like a weekly check-in

A routine is something you would do again and again, so you hand it over once. It can run on a schedule, run when a message comes in, or follow up until someone replies. Nothing starts until you turn it on.

Ask: “Every Sunday at 7 pm, list what I promised this week and what is still open.”

10. A bigger job over several days

Some work is too big for one message. Tuffy can take a job that runs for more than a day, which it calls a mission, and keep it moving.

Ask: “Go through my chats for this month and list every customer who has not paid, with the amount.”

Go through my chats for this month and list every customer who has not paid, with the amount.
Tuffy
On it. This takes a little time, so I will send you the list here when it is ready. For each person I can also prepare a polite reminder, and you decide which ones go.

Home: two things

11. Birthdays and dates that matter

Tell Tuffy once, and it remembers. It also remembers who a person is to you, so “Mausi” is not just a name. You can see and change everything it remembers on the People and Memory pages.

Ask: “Remember that Mummy’s birthday is on 14 March. Remind me a day before.”

12. Notes from a voice note

When you are driving, cooking or walking, typing is slow. Send a voice note. Tuffy understands Hindi, Hinglish, English and other languages, and turns what you said into a reminder or a note.

Say: “Kal subah doodh wale ko bolna ki ek litre extra chahiye, aur shaam ko Priya ko call yaad dilana.”

Two reminders set. Tomorrow morning: tell the milkman to bring one litre extra. Tomorrow evening: call Priya.

What a day can look like

Take Meera, who runs a small garment business. Her day does not change much. She just stops carrying it all in her head.

  • 8:00 AM: the morning brief says three people need her, two quotes are waiting, and one payment is overdue.
  • 11:30 AM: between customers she sends a voice note about a fabric rate. It becomes a reminder for the afternoon.
  • 3:00 PM: she asks for a summary of the supplier group and sees the delivery has moved to Monday.
  • 6:30 PM: Tuffy has drafted a polite payment reminder to a customer. She reads it, taps Send, and goes home.

What changed for Meera

She did not do less work. She did less remembering. Nothing was sent that she did not read first, and nothing she promised got lost in a busy chat.

What not to hand over

A good assistant should make you faster, not make your decisions for you. Keep these for yourself:

  • Anything that needs your judgement in the moment. Negotiating a price, handling an angry customer, saying sorry to someone you hurt.
  • Sensitive news. A resignation, a hard no, bad health news. People can feel when words are not yours.
  • Paying and buying. Tuffy does not pay or buy things for you.
  • A yes you have not read. Tuffy will draft, and you read and tap Send. Nothing goes to another person without your own yes. Read why this matters.

A simple test

Ask yourself: if this goes wrong, can I fix it with one more message? If yes, hand it over. If no, do it yourself, or let Tuffy prepare it and take the final decision yourself. Reminders, summaries and lists pass this test easily. A tense conversation with your biggest customer does not.

Build the habit in a week

Do not try all twelve at once. Pick one a day. The trial is 7 days, so the week is also your test.

  1. Day 1: link your WhatsApp at Tuffy.pro. Ask “What needs me today?”
  2. Day 2: read your first morning brief. If you do not want it, switch it off with one word.
  3. Day 3: set two reminders, one by text and one by voice note.
  4. Day 4: ask who owes you money, and which quotes are waiting for an answer.
  5. Day 5: ask for a summary of your noisiest group.
  6. Day 6: set up one weekly check-in for Friday evening.
  7. Day 7: add the birthdays of five people you love. Then open the website and look at Tasks, Calendar and People.

Questions

What can a WhatsApp assistant do?

It reads your chats and finds what needs you: what you promised, who is waiting for your reply, and what others owe you. It sets reminders, sends a morning brief, summarises long chats and groups, finds old messages, remembers people and dates, runs routines, and drafts replies for you to approve.

Can it reply to my customers for me?

It can draft the reply. It shows you the exact words and the recipient, and sends only after your tap. It does not reply to people on its own.

Does it understand Hindi and Hinglish voice notes?

Yes. Voice notes are understood in Hindi, Hinglish, English and other languages, and Tuffy answers in the language you write.

Do I need a new app or a new number?

No. You link your own WhatsApp, like WhatsApp Web, by scanning a QR code or typing a code. Tuffy lives in your “Message yourself” chat.

What does it cost?

In India, a 7-day trial is ₹99. After that, ₹599 a month, and you can stop any time. You can start here.

How do I delegate a task to a WhatsApp assistant?

Write or say what you want in your own words, as you would to a person: “Remind me on Friday to call Mr Bansal.” For anything that goes to another person, Tuffy shows the draft first and waits for your yes.

Try Tuffy in your own WhatsApp

7 days for ₹99. Nothing is sent without your yes.
